Pictures Before Surgery

I waited to post these until he was back in the room after the surgery.

A fashion statement to put Michael Jackson to shame...

Neil (the one taking a hit of oxygen) with Poquito, his traveling buddy since 1988.

I swear Neil looks like a younger, fitter Axel Rose in that get-up. So glad that the surgery is complete. You'll be dancing with Poquito before you know it. . . .

Neil,

You look great! We wish you the best on your recovery. And the Michael Jackson thing - sorry but it's no contest. I just saw a picture of him in a birka (sp?). Yikes.

Thanks for the faithful updates Pete - it is hard to track the time. It must be pretty hard to sit and wait.

Neil - I hope it's a boy hip or your limp will turn into a funny walk. Yikes, indeed.

We just got an "oxygen bar" in Helena - tell me how it helped. ;-)

Take care,

Ellen

Glad there were no glitches. You'll be doing the tango in no time!

Can't wait to see more pictures - especially of the country. Point that camera out your window, or out the front door of the hospital so I can get a glimpse! All my life I've heard persistent rumors of countries where they don't speak English, don't eat EggMcMuffins, and don't gas up at the Conoco. Could this really be true?

So, how's the hospital food in India? Any better than in the US?

Hey Neil, Congratulations. You made it!!! I must say I feel like an idiot. I didn't realize I had to go back to the blog website to keep updated on what was going on!!!??? I couldn't understand why I hadn't heard anything today. (I haven't had access to the internet since tuesday) Laura clued me in....it's good to have younger sisters who are smarter then you are in the computer world, much like Peter. Thank you soooo much for knowing how to do this, Peter. It is such a comfort to have pictures and words of Neils progress and your adventures over there. Speaking of which...what happen to your hair, Neil? I am so glad you made it through the surgery with flying colors. I have been thinking of you alot and keeping the time line in mind so I could be praying for you and holding you in the light. A candle still burns for you on my altar. Miss you and look forward to hearing updates on your progress. Love Lu
